• Can I use a Stratus RTT with any car?

  • Absolutely! Our tents are suitable for any vehicle and can easily attach to your car's crossbars like a ski rack or storage box.

• How do I get in and out of the tent?

  • All of our tents come with a retractable ladder that is durable, lightweight and fits in your tent for convenience.

• Where can you use an RTT?

  • The possibilities are endless; sleep in your driveway, national parks and forests, and even Walmart parking lots.

• Does it hold up in bad weather?

  • These tents are weatherproof, often more so than your vehicle, and much warmer. They've been tested in major wind, snow, dust storms, and deep freezes with a tent heater.

• How long does it take to set up and break down?

  • Setup and breakdown times vary slightly by model, but each tent can be set up in under a minute. Quality is our priority, not speed.

• How many people fit inside?

  • Depending on the model, you can comfortably sleep 2-4 people and/or pets.

Shipping

Free shipping across the continental USA. 4x4 Colorado rooftop tents are shipped via freight.

Shipping of rooftop tents to Alaska (FAIRBANKS AND ANCHORAGE ONLY), Puerto Rico, and Hawaii: $800 + applicable taxes.

You may cancel your RTT order at any time before it has shipped and get a full refund, minus a 5% cancellation fee.

If you would like to cancel, please contact us to proceed with a refund. Please note that it may take up to 10 days for the refund to appear in your bank account.

Every single one of our tents freights out perfectly secure on custom-manufactured pallets. If any damage from the freight company is observed upon delivery, please contact us ASAP. A general rule of thumb is if the box isn’t punctured you should be okay, if it is, please contact us. Always notate any type of damage on the delivery receipt with the driver’s signature.

Due to the difficulty and cost of transporting an item the size of an RTT, no returns will be given after your RTT has been shipped or picked up.

If you cancel your RTT order while it is out for shipment you will incur a 20% deduction from your refund to cover shipping charges and a restocking fee associated with the late cancellation.

If you require an address change after you have received a shipment confirmation, email you will be responsible for any re-consignment fees and/or holding fees that your freight incurs with an en route address change.

We do our very best to ship your order as quickly and efficiently as possible, and we hope you receive your order soon. If you need to cancel your order, please take note of the charges below:

• Any order cancellation issued pre-shipping will incur a 5% charge to cover admin and credit card fees. Visit our Contact Page to proceed with this process. Please note that it may take up to 10 days for a refund to appear in your account.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Warranty

If you ever experience an issue with one of our products, please contact us as soon as you notice. We'll do our best to solve the problem as soon as possible.

2-Year Warranty

For 2 years from the date of purchase, 4x4 Colorado will repair or replace (at our option) defective parts at no cost to the customer.

Extended 3-Year Warranty

For 5 years from the date of purchase, 4x4 Colorado will repair or replace (at our option) defective parts at a minimum cost (production cost). Shipping is covered by the customer.

Our warranty does not cover all issues, such as:

• UV damage: ultra-violet damage to fabric.
• Normal wear and tear, cosmetic blemishes occurring as a result of use (vinyl window discoloration, scratches/dents on the rooftop tent top, etc.)
• Damage caused by the customer (misuse, accident, abuse, storm damage, etc.)
• Aesthetic changes that do not affect the general operation of the rooftop tent.

This warranty applies only to customers who purchased directly from 4x4 Colorado or an authorized dealer and does not cover second-hand purchases.
